Description MS in German on paper, Dresden, 1820'ies, score: 3 vols, 500 pp., 23x32 cm, 4-8 columns, (22x28 cm), ruled with 16 staves, 8 pp. for the stage band notated at the end of vol. 3 on 3 and 5 stave systems, calligraphic title-page, marked up for performance; parts: 20 vols., 400 pp., 30x23 cm, single column, (25x20 cm), ruled with 12 staves, heavily corrected and annotated, sections deleted, sections added on separate strips of paper by the musicians, their names on the covers of each instrument parts.
Binding Dresden, 1820'ies, Score: cardboards, sewn on 3 cords; parts: thin boards, sewn on 2 cords, blue decorative labels, round armorial ownership stamps "C.T.".

Commentary Freischütz was begun in 1817, finished i 1820, first performance of the overture in Copenhagen 18. October 1820, the whole opera in Berlin 1821. The first printed score appeared in 1849.
