Description MS in Italian on paper, Wien, 1808, 2 pp. 23x28 cm, single column (20x27 cm), ruled with 16 staves, sketches in single staff notation, 5 lines with tempo indications in cursive script, autograph.
Context This sketch leaf was originally between ff 49 and 50 in the "Pastoral sketch book", now British Museum Add. Ms 31766. This sketch book has sketches for Symphony no. 6 "Pastoral" op. 68, the piano trios op 70/1 and 70/2 and a piano concerto in f-minor. The autograph of the piano trio op. 70/1 is in the Lehman collection, deposited at Morgan Library, New York. The autograph of op. 70/2 is in Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin. The autograph of Symphony no 6 is in Beethoven-Haus Bonn.
